Sports reporter Odin Ciani, from the ESPN television channel, informed that yesterday an armed person entered his sister's medical office in Tijuana, Baja California, and murdered her.
Through a video on his Twitter account, Odin Ciani said that his sister, who was a physician, was slain “with 3 well-aimed shots” in the presence of her children and mother.
He added that his sister was a woman who dedicated her life to health and sometimes “she did not charge for her practice."
Ciani demanded authorities to resolve the case and addressed President Enrique Peña Nieto, Secretary of the Interior Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong and Baja California governor, Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, to tackle the insecurity problem lived in the country.
On his Twitter account, the former boxer Julio César Chávez, who last week lived through the murder of his brother, wrote a support message.
hermano te acompaño en tu dolor se lo que estás sintiendo un abrazo

“Brother, I share your pain, I know what you are going through, a hug.”
Odin Ciani is a sports reporter with 30 years of experience in the media, according to his LinkedIn profile.
He has worked for Televisa, TV Azteca, and now ESPN for 6 years.
